How we work

A method, not a mystery.

Four stages, the same every time, so you always know what is happening this week and what lands next. Drag through to see what each one actually involves.

Understand

Design

FAQs

The questions we get asked most.

How long does a Shopify Plus build take?

Most builds run ten to sixteen weeks from kickoff to launch. Discovery and design take the first four to six; the rest is build, QA and migration. Replatforms with complex data or a lot of third-party integration sit at the longer end.

Do you only work with Shopify Plus?

No. Plus starts to earn its keep somewhere around £2m of annual revenue, or sooner if you need checkout customisation, B2B or multiple markets. Below that, standard Shopify is usually the right call and we will say so.

Can you take over a theme someone else built?

Often, yes. We start with a paid audit so both sides know what we are inheriting. If the foundation is sound we improve it; if it will cost more to maintain than to replace, we will tell you that too.

Do you build headless?

Only where it earns its keep. Headless buys you flexibility and costs you speed of iteration, hosting complexity and a permanent maintenance bill. For most consumer brands a well-built Shopify theme is faster and cheaper to run. When headless is right, we build it properly.

How do retainers work?

Fixed monthly capacity with a named squad, a roadmap you help set and a standing session to review what shipped. Unused time does not roll forward indefinitely - the point is a steady cadence, not a bank of hours.

Who actually works on my project?

The people you meet in the pitch. We are deliberately small and senior, so the person designing your product page is the person who will still be answering questions about it in six months.

Can you migrate us from Magento or WooCommerce?

Yes, and we have done both more than once. The risk in a replatform is rarely the code - it is URLs, historic order data and the integrations nobody documented. We map all three before we start.
